We will be upgrading our Base Mainnet and Testnet nodes to the latest v1.3.0 release.
base-reth-node - Upgrades Reth to v2.5.1with the release-line history-shard read and Engine API pending-handoff backports. - Builder and transaction forwarding improvements: Batches queued forwarder requests, checks block-build cancellation on every transaction, shares the execution cache with the builder, adds parallel state-root support. - Operational improvements: Publishesghcr.io/base/node, adds Mainnet and Sepolia node environment templates, groups Reth snapshot commands, adds EL peer ban/unban and reachability checks inbasectl, and keeps one month of history in the full preset. - Bug fixes and stability improvements.
base-consensus - L1 origin and derivation stability: Adds separate L1 RPC timeouts, L1 origin RPC metrics, prefetched L1 origin reuse, startup RPC retries, finality preservation across derivation resets, outage reorg coverage, and safer orphan detection. - P2P and observability: Adds consensus-layer P2P reachability checks, EL sync probes, validator-only DA batcher sender overrides, and shadow candidate block metrics. - Bug fixes and stability improvements.
