We are upgrading our Hedera Mainnet JSON-RPC Relay infrastructure to v0.81.0 on 2026-11-16. This release adds WebSocket subscription support, improves transaction receipt error handling, enhances tracing accuracy, and fixes a race condition in transaction count queries. Brief interruptions to RPC availability may occur on that date.
RPC Changes: - newPendingTransactions — New WebSocket subscription method for monitoring pending transactions in real time. - eth_getTransactionReceipt — Pre-consensus-rejected transactions now return a JSON-RPC error (-32003) instead of null, providing clearer error semantics to clients. - eth_getTransactionCount — Race condition fix ensures accurate nonce retrieval under concurrent request conditions. - eth_sendRawTransaction — Aborted transaction submissions now return HTTP 499 instead of HTTP 500. - debug_traceTransaction — The prestateTracer now reads storage directly from Mirror Node and returns only touched contract slots instead of full contract state, improving performance and accuracy.
