We are upgrading our Sonic Mainnet infrastructure to v2.2.3 on 2026-10-13. This is a stability release focused on tightening RPC validation rules and fixing correctness and panic bugs, including a critical genesis import fix that could cause node divergence from the network. Brief interruptions to RPC availability may occur on that date.
RPC Changes: - trace_filter: Requests with a block range (toBlock minus fromBlock) greater than 1,000 blocks are now rejected by default. - eth_getProof: Now limited to 1,024 storage keys per request. Malformed storage keys return an invalid params error. - eth_getLogs, eth_newFilter, and logs subscriptions: Log query parameter limits now apply to all three, including eth_getLogs queries by blockHash. - eth_createAccessList, eth_sendTransaction, eth_signTransaction, eth_fillTransaction, eth_resend: Stricter transaction validation. Requests are now rejected if the chainId doesn't match the network, if set-code transactions are missing to or include gasPrice, or if blob transactions are missing to. eth_createAccessList also now returns promptly when a request is cancelled or times out. - eth_simulateV1: Set-code and blob calls without to now return a proper error instead of failing unexpectedly. - debug_traceCall, trace_call, trace_callMany, dag_getHeads — Fixed panic on unknown blocks; now returns a proper header not found error.
