[Standard] Hedera - Upgrade to Mirror Node v0.164.2 and JSON-RPC Relay v0.80.1

Scheduled

We are upgrading our Hedera infrastructure to Mirror Node v0.164.2 and JSON-RPC Relay v0.80.1 on 2026-10-22. Mirror Node v0.164.2 provides compatibility with consensus node v0.78 and prevents failures in the web3 module and contract call endpoints. JSON-RPC Relay v0.80.1 strengthens Ethereum JSON-RPC spec compliance, improves state override handling, adds EIP-1898 block identifier support, corrects error codes and receipt fields, and hardens the public endpoint with CORS allowlisting and client-IP detection. Brief interruptions to RPC availability may occur on that date.

RPC Changes:
- state overrides — Now compliant with HIP-1485; state override syntax and behavior have been updated to align with Hedera specification.
- Block identifiers — EIP-1898 block identifier format is now supported for methods accepting block parameters; legacy block number and hash formats remain compatible.
- Transaction receipt fields — Receipt field names and values have been corrected for Ethereum JSON-RPC spec compliance; affected fields include status codes and transaction type indicators.
- Error codes — JSON-RPC error codes have been standardized to match the Ethereum JSON-RPC specification; clients relying on specific error codes may see different values for certain error conditions.
- WebSocket address limits — WS_MULTIPLE_ADDRESSES_LIMIT configuration parameter has been removed and replaced by MAX_ADDRESSES_PER_REQUEST (default 1000); WebSocket subscriptions are now subject to this per-request address cap.
