We are upgrading our Zcash Mainnet and Testnet infrastructure to Zebra 7.0.0 on 2026-10-27. This is a mandatory upgrade to support the NU7 network upgrade activation which is a consensus-level protocol change. Nodes must upgrade before the activation height to remain on the consensus chain. This release includes critical security fixes, RPC improvements, and peer synchronization enhancements. Brief interruptions to RPC availability may occur on that date.
RPC Changes: getinfo — Build field now includes full git commit metadata; updated peer discovery handling improves sync reliability. getnetworkinfo, getpeerinfo — No longer blocks while processing large batches of gossiped peer addresses, improving responsiveness. getaddresstxids, getaddressutxos — Now returns an error for queries matching more than 100,000 results; use startHeight and maxEntries pagination to narrow results. getaddress* methods — Now accept at most 10,000 addresses per request instead of unlimited.
