[Urgent] Sui Testnet - Upgrade to testnet-v1.81.1

Scheduled for Oct 7, 00:00 - 23:59 UTC

Scheduled

We are upgrading our Sui Testnet infrastructure to testnet-v1.81.1 on 2026-10-07. This release advances the Sui protocol to version 138, introducing memory invariant checks for PTB reference/value usage, enabling object funds withdrawal validation, and refining transaction effects and consensus handling. Brief interruptions to RPC availability may occur on that date.

RPC Changes:
Transaction effects — On Testnet, transaction effects no longer report transaction dependencies. The effects encoding retains an empty dependency vector; object versions and per-object previous-transaction metadata are unchanged. This applies to gRPC methods that return effects, including GetTransaction, BatchGetTransactions, ExecuteTransaction, SimulateTransaction, and SubscribeCheckpoints.
