Solana Devnet is switching to Alpenglow, Solana’s new consensus protocol (SIMD-0326 - https://explorer.solana.com/address/A1pengvuM6JEcyNuTnMqepBKhwHE3N6PmUrdATGawhJS?cluster=devnet). The Solana developers at Anza will turn it on at the start of Devnet epoch 1167, expected Friday, September 25, around 19:40 UTC.

What this means for you
- Solana Mainnet is not affected. This change applies to Solana Devnet only.
- The Devnet may be briefly unstable while the switch-over happens, for example with slower confirmations or short interruptions. This comes from the network itself.
- Your Quicknode Devnet endpoints stay the same. You don’t need to change anything.

What we’re doing
- Our Solana Devnet infrastructure is already running the required Agave v4.3.0.
- We’re pausing all planned maintenance on Solana Devnet around the upgrade window.
- Our team will be actively monitoring the network during and after the switch-over, and we’ll post updates here if we see any impact.
