We are upgrading our Ethereum Hoodi infrastructure to Lighthouse v8.3.0 on 2026-10-21. This release introduces support for the Gloas hard fork (enshrined proposer-builder separation), the Fast Confirmation Rule for faster block confirmations, enables partial data columns by default, and includes security fixes. Brief interruptions to RPC availability may occur on that date.
RPC Changes: - GET /eth/v1/beacon/proposer_preferences — New endpoint to retrieve proposer preferences including builder configuration. - GET /eth/v1/beacon/states/{state_id}/ptc — New endpoint to query payload timeliness committee (PTC) state for Gloas. - GET /eth/v1/beacon/states/{state_id}/builder_pending_withdrawals — New endpoint to retrieve builder-pending withdrawal state after Gloas. - GET /eth/v1/beacon/states/{state_id}/builder_pending_payments — New endpoint to retrieve builder-pending payment state after Gloas. - POST /eth/v4/validator/blocks/{slot} — Gloas block production now uses this endpoint with builder configuration in the request body and required `include_payload` query parameter; the `Eth-Builder-Url` response header must be forwarded when publishing blocks. - GET /eth/v1/beacon/blobs/{block_id} — Response order now matches the block's KZG commitments regardless of requested `versioned_hashes` order. - block SSE event — After Gloas, now includes `builder_index` and `block_hash` fields. payload_attributes SSE event — After Gloas, now includes `safe_block_hash` and `finalized_block_hash` fields. - fast_confirmation SSE event — New event published when the Fast Confirmation Rule confirms a block (typically within 1–2 slots). - GET /eth/v1/validator/{pubkey}/graffiti — Keymanager API now returns a plain string instead of hex-encoded string.
